I didnt see good quality, solid disadvantages.
I've been using several for over a year. I started by changing the firmware to CC29 using (cannot be used otherwise). After about a year of operation, one disk began to "stripe" and disappear from the system. It looks like APM 0x80 (128) is spontaneously enabled. Recent studies of Californian "clouders" have shown that the Barracuda 72022022 models are the least reliable.
- Price
- Reliability at the level of the lottery. No ERC mechanism (not intended for RAID! ). Don't take this drive to store valuable data and build arrays.
