I spent sooo much time reading pitcher reviews to find a sealed pitcher with a leak proof lid. There is not much! Tons of pretty pitchers to choose from but I wanted them to be airtight to hold the flavor of my herbal iced tea and not soak up the others. I also wanted, more importantly, to be able to shake the container before serving each time. The last jug I used required me to remove the lid and stir every time I wanted to pour a glass. I walked past this jug several times because it didn't look as pretty as the others. This jug looks much better in reality than in the photo! The list makes it cloudy or opaque. It's not, it's clear! Looks like glass but much easier to hold than glass. The lid works great, it's exactly what I need. I am very happy with my purchase.
