I had to write a review on this because last week I burned a plastic spoon on the stove and the house was full of horribly smelly smoke. I remembered we bought this for the basement so I brought it upstairs and turned it on. Within an hour the house was completely back to normal. I couldn't believe it. It has an indicator that informs you about the air quality. First it was red with an H which probably means the air quality is terrible. Then eventually it had numbers that gradually decreased until it was blue and then green. Seeing how quickly it dissipated that awful smoke gives me confidence that it works and that it's here when we need it for more than just our basement. .
