The thing is good. It sits on my Fluval Spec 5 gal at only the lowest width setting. It seems to me that most of the new settings are the same - those that blink or dim - except for the last one, which is smooth and perfect. for your discos with fish jam. Other colors are fun morning, afternoon and evening, and there are some brightness settings. Not sure if it's that or something else, but it seems to have gone down a size small. The other plants are doing well. Sometimes I even get some seaweed, so yeah, it's getting light. I should have invested in a timer. Buy a timer. I also used it at a party by hanging it from the ceiling. No joke. Worked great.
