I've been needing a new hair dryer for a long time. Mine was very ill for a while. It started sparking, so I badly needed a new one. I was very excited to receive this. The texture is pleasant to the touch. It feels like silicone. You may not care, but I think it's a little easier to hold on to as it's non-shiny and non-slip. The buttons are clearly labeled and it's very easy to understand what each one is doing. It has a 9ft cord that makes it easy to blow dry your hair when the outlet is far away. Before that, it was painful to get my hair dryer on my head. It also has velcro to keep it together when traveling (I always lose them but it's a nice touch 😂). I have very straight hair so personally I don't need a diffuser but it's nice to have one for curly girls. I'm not sure I believe all the claims about what ions do, but it dried my hair without damaging it (or it didn't start a fire, which is all I ask of a hair dryer).
