(brief description below) Overall I like Vive products. This bracelet on the wrist is so-so. Since 1999 I've worn bracelets on my wrist intermittently; I type a lot, crochet a lot, and do a lot of other things that strain my wrist. I really wanted to try the new braces as my old ones were visibly worn. My old braces had two straps; This one has three and seems to be more common now. I have to say I'm missing two straps, it feels like I'm wearing a cast. This wrist brace will work for now until I find something better. It was super affordable at only $10. This is useful for both left and right hands. The bottom is narrow, so I usually pull the bottom strap a little looser than others. I loved the gray color (a nice change from the typical black) and I would say the best thing about these braces is how stretchy they are and the velcro closures are finished with a rounded piece of faux leather. (see third photo) This is brilliant. The main problem with wristbands is that the bands wear out, become fuzzy or cause other problems. Rounded faux leather ends mean this wrist brace will last much longer. However, if you look at the last photo, you can see that the velcro straps covering the removable tire holes are perfectly square. Why they came up with the idea of rounding off/protecting some velcro but not everything is crazy. Things stick to those sharp ends of Velcro. Which leads me to break up. The bottom is metal. The top is plastic. It dug into the skin on the back of his hand, leaving a bruise. All other braces I've ever had have been solid metal. These plastic splints are relatively strong, but I can still bend my wrist backwards (which I shouldn't!) while wearing this brace. Finally, the feel-good factor: overall, this orthosis is relatively comfortable to wear. But the plastic splints allow me to bend my wrist the wrong way, which is annoying. In addition, the tire has several decorative seams that leave marks on my skin (see the first two photos). To be honest, every tire I've ever had had a weird texture on the inside. I usually take fluffy socks, cut off the ends and wear them in a corset. Looks terrible but comfortable. Also, the thick neoprene fabric is hot and doesn't breathe well (the description says the warming effect is a plus. At my age, anything that makes me hot is bad). Due to the bulk of the fabric I never feel like my wrist is immobilized as if I wanted to I could rotate my wrist into all sorts of painful positions while still wearing this brace. I've been wearing it for a month and my thumb already has scratches (see first photo). I really wanted to like these braces but I just can't get enough of them. BIG HISTORY BRIEF ICONS* Relatively comfortable* Gray color is a nice transition from black* Very affordable* Suitable for both left and right hands* Straps are rounded and lined with faux leather for much longer wearing comfort* Detachable hoops CONS* Three straps feel like plaster * Slightly small, may not be suitable for men * Removable splint holes are sharp and not rounded * Top splint is plastic and may dig into skin * Sheets of decorative stitching on leather * Neoprene fabric is hot and does not breathe (despite the statement). in the description !)* Bulky* fabric begins to crumble after a month* Low cost means savings on quality and materials. I'll do my job until I can save up for something better. Hope I was helpful!
