Review on Homebrew Thermometer Stainless Weldless Bi Metal by Daniel Jackson

I use this with my hand sanitizer machine. When I first used it I wasn't sure why the alcohol content was so low. After checking, I found that there was a large amount of water in the still. I then tested this thermometer with a digital one and found that the temperature readings for this thermometer were about 27 degrees different. Since alcohol boils at a lower temperature than water this gave erroneous readings and I boiled both the water and alcohol and distilled the mixture at around 40/60 which reduced the quality of the product exponentially. Now that I understand, I use a thermometer, but I had to manually mark the thermometer for corrected readings for future use.
