As the owner of a 2001 Mercedes S500 that I am slowly restoring as it slides down a 110,000 mile slide where anything that can go wrong can go wrong, this is a wonderful tool. He even told me my fog lights were gone and the alternate rear brake light wasn't working before the limp home mode wasn't working either. More important is the convenience of not having any engine or transmission trouble codes in a car I bought last year. I'll admit that I still don't understand all the menus and reports I'm getting, but this tells me a lot more than the annoying dash messages alone can give. There's some code it can't interpret, but most it can, and I haven't even read the manual to use it yet. Digging under the dash to find the connector and plug it in isn't much fun (ps, there's a latch on the cover over the connector, FYI) so I leave it and hide the tool under the dash. I like it.
