Pros:+ This is a great device that you don't need to hide in a closet. It definitely looks better than most drip coffee makers + Preparing coffee is easy, and if you're already heating water for tea or other uses, most of the work is already done + Isolator design keeps your coffee hot without you having to plug into it Device needs to hold up + Unlike wired devices, this one is built to last. This could be the last coffee pot you will ever need.+ This is much safer than French presses that use glass. Don't worry about it breaking on you + The simple design complements any decor, traditional or modern + Comes with a coffee spoon so you can get just the right amount of coffee for each cup + Because it's insulated, it won't hurt Doesn't sweat or leave residue on the table+ Pours cleanly so coffee doesn't drip like my previous maker+ Takes up less space than most corded devices and makes better use of space+ French press approach results in a better cup of coffee as filter coffee machines+ . You simply pour in the coffee grounds, add hot water, cover with a lid and wait a few minutes. At this point, you can already serve it on the table because when it's ready, just squeeze and pour yourself a cup. No need to run back to the coffee maker.+ Because it's portable and doesn't require electricity, you can take it anywhere and make coffee as long as you have access to hot water. I wish I would think of it again when I hiked a lot because I wouldn't have to drink that awful instant coffee :) + Suitable as a gift + Stainless steel stays beautiful without complicated maintenance + Don't have to buy all paper filters or plastic containers+. It comes with optional metal filters. Otherwise, mold can form on them (the same cleanliness is required of any coffee maker). Everything that disturbs the glossy surface is immediately visible. For this reason I hand wash it and dry it with a cotton cloth so that if it gets scratched I don't offend anyone about the mark on my beautiful pot. I've only felt this protection in good china before, but this is a fine kitchen utensil. See for yourself that you need to dispose of the used coffee grounds without simply removing the paper filter. I personally don't think it matters much, it's just good to know what to expect if you've never used one of these tips: If you tend to drink coffee for a long time and it's important to you that it stays very hot. Then I suggest preheating a container of gently simmering water, pour it out and then proceed to brewing your coffee. I only drink a cup or two, so I don't find it necessary. Conclusion: I have absolutely no regrets about buying this coffee pot and can recommend it unreservedly. It's beautiful and makes great hot coffee that stays warm.
