Review on Cat Toilet Training System: Litter Kwitter - Teach Your Cat to Use the Toilet - Includes Instructional DVD by Debbie Daly

You need the right cat.

Boy, this thing is a process. My 6 month old Sphynx is fearless, brave, sociable, adventurous. She immediately went to the red stage. Switched to orange two weeks later - these guys are joking about the jump in hole size. I read the reviews here and bought the MultiCat package. The new orange one has a smaller hole and luckily after three weeks of treats, praise and hanging out with my cat in the bathroom I hear a CALL one night. She stands with all four feet perfectly on the edge and pisses in the middle. I'm not joking, I'm shedding tears of joy. I let this miracle continue for a week, and two days ago I shifted it to the initial second stage. The hole is still ridiculously bigger, but everything went smoothly in one day. Then, on the second day, I realized she was nervous, poor thing. Walks around the house, sniffs the toilet, meows a lot. She suddenly turns into a confused, frightened animal, afraid of my purse, afraid to move, jumps in the air when I make a gesture, afraid of her food bowl, afraid of her favorite chair. Shit in my bras. She's afraid of this hole. So I read a few more reviews here and put a plastic cover under the hole and covered it with trash to try and make the world a less scary place for them. Too late. She's downright traumatized. Pissing in your bed, poor thing. So I reinstalled the regular tray to give her a break and bring her psyche back to a neutral state. She's still afraid of it. A few days ago she rang in the perfect position to urinate - I think I made it up. I don't know where I'm going next. If she recovers I might start from scratch and transfer her to the Tupperware lid from the FIRST time I do the second amber stage. loss of faith and heart. This is a charming concept. I'm surprised it didn't work on my confident animal and I'm devastated at what the process has brought her to.
