so proud of my toilet trained cat!

My cat is now fully toilet trained and I am very happy about that. This took about 3 months and we used extra pads (from the Litter Kwitter multi-cat kit) but overall it went well. All I can say is take your time and don't give up on your cat. Don't listen to the naysayers, it really can be done (see photo of Harold showing off his skills). My husband and I shared a bathroom with a cat and we just took the pad off when we needed to go to the bathroom. My cat was a little apprehensive when we…

Toilet train at your own risk

I started feeding the kitten when it was 12 weeks and it learned very quickly which was exciting and promising (at the time). I loved this flushable litter because all I had to worry about was keeping an eye on it, dumping waste down the toilet, and vacuuming every day. If this sounds like work to you, stop reading and leave this page. After about 5 months of training (we came to the last use) she started wanting to drink from the toilet - in case you didn't know, cats love moving water because

You need the right cat.

Boy, this thing is a process. My 6 month old Sphynx is fearless, brave, sociable, adventurous. She immediately went to the red stage. Switched to orange two weeks later - these guys are joking about the jump in hole size. I read the reviews here and bought the MultiCat package. The new orange one has a smaller hole and luckily after three weeks of treats, praise and hanging out with my cat in the bathroom I hear a CALL one night. She stands with all four feet perfectly on the edge and pisses in

Advice for parents with multiple cats

So this product is suitable for cats from 3 months old. I got my kittens when they were 8 weeks old. I put a makeshift tray next to the toilet, they used it for a week, then I put the red tray in the tray for a couple of days, then put it on the toilet and put the tray so that the kittens walked where the makeshift tray used to be. Both used it well up to the orange level. About a week after the orange stage my only cat stopped using it - cats get territorial so it's recommended that each cat…

Poop Trick - Trash and Hack

Ok so it worked but I think there are some tricks / NECESSARY things you need to do to make this successful.1. ) Right, so it's awkward, but if you install the system on the toilet, SAVE HIS POOP FROM HIS WASTE BIN. Oh my god it was what finally helped him use the red crotch after being constipated for two days. 2.) If you go to the orange tier after he keeps pooping to the red tier, again save some urine/poo and put some in the toilet for sniffing and some on the outer ring. This was the only…

I did it, but with a lot of effort. HERE ARE SOME TRICKS.

- First, get some flushable litter. It'll be everywhere, but it really makes it a lot easier and will save you a lot of plumbing headaches later. Once your cat gets used to using the device regularly, use less and less litter. One major hurdle I encountered, however, is that by their very nature they require space for scratches. Make sure they have enough junk to give them that feeling, but always insist on less. Trays have those pesky little ridges that are hard to clean. After your cat has…

100% worth! The main thing is patience and preparation!

I just trained my (now 3 months old) cat (her name is Potato) in five to six weeks. We are at the end of the green stage and are about to read something about FREE WASTE! I started her when I first got her when she was 6 weeks old. Aside from picking her up, Litter Kwitter was all she knew. I read so many reviews before we started and they really helped prepare me for the challenge! I go to school full time and work Monday to Friday 8 to 5 and it was manageable. Here are some tips that have…
