Review on Cat Toilet Training System: Litter Kwitter - Teach Your Cat to Use the Toilet - Includes Instructional DVD by Lindsey Teel

so proud of my toilet trained cat!

My cat is now fully toilet trained and I am very happy about that. This took about 3 months and we used extra pads (from the Litter Kwitter multi-cat kit) but overall it went well. All I can say is take your time and don't give up on your cat. Don't listen to the naysayers, it really can be done (see photo of Harold showing off his skills). My husband and I shared a bathroom with a cat and we just took the pad off when we needed to go to the bathroom. My cat was a little apprehensive when we switched to the orange ring, but I used a piece of tape to cover half the space and added some filler on top and then my cat went along with it. The litterkwitter website has an old forum (the top page of a google search is "litterkwitter forum") that has suggestions for almost every cat training problem. What has worked for us: treats and praise for each successful toilet break, filling the tub with water as the cat was terribly tempted to use it instead, and just being patient. When the cat lost control we cleaned everything with an enzyme cleaner, returned a ring and gave for another week or two. Using a small amount of tape to make the hole look a bit smaller during the transitions also helped. With the money I saved on litter I can feed my cat more wet food so everyone looks forward to adjusting! Believe in your cat, she can do it!
