If there were a 12-step program for buying crockery and glasses, I would have to move. I love these mugs because now I don't have to buy the same cups and saucers when I get new models. They look just as good with china as they do with regular tableware. They have gone through the dishwasher multiple times with no problems and I love drinking from them. A note: as any frequent glassware shopper will tell you, it's easy to mindlessly start washing and peeling off the stickers on the bottom. These glasses have a slight curvature at the bottom - this is not a sticker! it is intended to prevent fogging of the space between the two layers. Don't delete it. :) If you have a Nespresso Vertuline you will need to lift the cup tray. The spout grips the rim of the mug and holds it in place while brewing. I bought my mother in law a higher version and they fit perfectly. I will buy these too.
