They don't have the same thickness as some of the more expensive "Monster" or "Kramer" VGA cables, but in terms of use for small computer setups they are ideal, much i sometimes find that big and bulky cables don't bend or flex like these thinner guys. I know this is to ensure they don't kink or go short, but the weight of more expensive and bulky cables tends to wear down. As for the VGA port it plugs into, I've worn through two graphics cards on my PC over the years and couldn't be sure, but I'd put part of the reason down to bulky cables that don't flex when against a wall, but instead this eventually wears out the connection inside the graphics card.
