The device was set up according to the instructions. I found that the device made a "buzzing" noise on high settings, which was annoying, but I tried it anyway. We spent 3 days just practicing with the audio, I found the audio very inconsistent but as it is broadcast over the radio I thought there was a bug. Today we tried a low impulse. Although I could hear the tone, the dog didn't seem to react. We went through 2 and got to 3 (her coat is not very long and she is a skinny dog). At three we got to the limit and although I heard the signal the dog didn't react in any way. I took her back to the safe zone about 15 feet from the border and she started screeching and I could hear the pulses but not the sound. I asked for an exchange, possibly a defective unit. I'll write again when I have a new one.
