Shacke Store 8-Pack Shoe Deodorant Balls really work, but you have to be able to deal with the strong smell these little balls emit. I used them in my tennis shoes and put them in the closet where I keep my shoes and clothes and within minutes my whole closet smelled like a strong, pungent smell of deodorant balls. That was 4 days ago and I still smell a lighter scent in my clothes even after I put a fan in my closet to get rid of the smell. I took the balls out of my shoes on the second day and they smelled a little less strong, on the third day a little more and on the 4th day there was a lighter odor in my shoes and the smelly initial foot odor was gone. If you use them I would suggest that you put the balls in your shoes and quickly slip them into a ziplox bag and then after a day or two take your shoes out of the bag which is outside or in the basement or garage is placed until most of the ball smell is gone. Store balls in a Ziploc bag when not in use (they last up to 6 months).
