Review on πŸ”§ Amazon Basics 10-in-1 Electrician's Stripping Multi-Tool: Nylon Sheath Included! by James Pope

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad for the price

I've had several Leathermans and currently have a Wingman (I've lost two in the past) which is about 2.5x the price. So I'm going to compare them to tell you what you might be missing out on by paying less. The Revain is strong and the knife is sharp and the tools are useful for their intended purpose. Knife and saw are accessible and lockable from the outside. The pliers are spring loaded and the spring is hidden. I personally prefer springless tongs as they don't take up much desk space. However, Revain lacks polish in key areas that can impact your day-to-day use. First, Revain has sharper edges, particularly the edges of the pliers that are sharp enough to cut themselves. Second, many tools are very cramped and difficult to use. It may loosen up over time, but Leatherman had enough resistance from day one. I have medium sized hands. If you have big fingers and short nails, you will find it very difficult to get hold of tools. (Sometimes I feel like I need another tool just to get the tool out of the Revain.) So I left the Revain in the car as a backup in case of an emergency. For home and camping I prefer Leatherman as all the tools are easy to use without much hassle.
