They have a sticky plastic hole to eject the wipes, the adhesive doesn't stick to the packaging very well once opened. It's hard to hold a squirming baby or toddler while struggling with the packaging and trying not to mess things up. The wipes seem difficult to come out and in big clumps, so you have to separate them from the big clumps to use them individually. So they should be biodegradable, but they still come in plastic packaging so I'm not sure how eco-friendly they are.
