Not entirely sure why others can't figure out how to install this. Yes, it is different from the 4", 5" and 6" convertible cans. Yes, the skin is more difficult to apply. No, it is not impossible. No, the skin is not suspended from the ceiling. Is it's really difficult to pull it back out without long nails there are two tabs holding the glass to the ceiling which can come loose when the panel is pushed up the top of this panel is almost too thick for convertible Glasses , one side of the trim should rest against one of the tabs and the opposite side should be tilted up.The same is repeated for the other side, moving back and forth between the sides, slowly lifting the trim and pressing it firmly against the ceiling .This requires some dexterity. We recommend practicing the installation (and trimming) on a piece of drywall so you can see what's going on. That helped us a lot.
