Difficult to assemble, then the slats do not close flush.

Does not meet the easy install standard for regular 4" and 6" halo monitors. Difficult to install with poorly designed clips that are difficult to use. Then the pinhole style 3001 trim strip I was using was difficult to install flush with the ceiling - it kept falling off 1/8 - 1/4 inch after being pushed all the way into the frame. Only buy this product if you are disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Anything I can add

Worst lightbox ever

This is the worst lightbox I have ever installed. Great idea for an installation with no access to the ceiling from above, but poor design for the clips that are supposed to hold the light in place. I struggled with them for many hours to get them to stick firmly to the drywall. Eventually they broke and I had to install a more traditional halo light body that nails to the rafters. I wasn't happy about this at all because I had to crawl into a part of my attic that was almost impossible to…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Boring packaging

So far we have bought three and no problems.

We're not entirely sure why others can't figure out how to install this. Yes, it's different than the 4", 5" and 6" convertible cans. Yes, the skin is more difficult to apply. No, it's not impossible. No, the skin isn't hanging from the ceiling. It's actually difficult to pull it out again without long nails yes two tabs holding the glass to the ceiling which can come loose when the panel is slid up the panel should rest against one of the tabs while the opposite side is tilted up the same is…

Worst light housing ever

This is the worst lighting kit I have ever installed. Great idea for a bracket with no access to the ceiling above, but poor design for the clips that need to hold the light in place.
