We're not entirely sure why others can't figure out how to install this. Yes, it's different than the 4", 5" and 6" convertible cans. Yes, the skin is more difficult to apply. No, it's not impossible. No, the skin isn't hanging from the ceiling. It's actually difficult to pull it out again without long nails yes two tabs holding the glass to the ceiling which can come loose when the panel is slid up the panel should rest against one of the tabs while the opposite side is tilted up the same is repeated for the other side, moving back and forth between sides, slowly lifting the panel and pressing firmly against the ceiling This requires skill, we recommend practicing the installation (and the panel) on a piece of drywall so you can see know what's going on. It helped us a lot.
