Review on 🐈 Optimized for SEO: Weruva Classic Recipes Grain-Free Natural Canned Wet Cat Food by Jenny Maestas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Turned my picky cat into a foodie! He loves Veruv!

EDIT 10/08/18: Updated my rating from 5 to 4 stars. Weruva changed the formula of their food. The first ingredient is now chicken broth instead of chicken; It appears to be an attempt to cut costs. I checked and most of their flavors now have broth as the first ingredient. The new formula has a more watery texture, fewer cuts of meat and more vegetables. Check out the picture of the food on the plate that accompanies the new formula of the fancy chunky chicken. Photos of food in a jar is an old formula. My cats still eat it but I feel like I'm being ripped off for crying. Beware because Revain still lists the old ingredients list. New Formula: Chicken Broth, Chicken (Boneless, Skinless), Pumpkin, Carrot, Pea, Potato Starch, Sunflower Oil, Calcium Lactate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Nicotinic Acid (Vitamin B3), Ferrous Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Calcium Pantothenate, Copper Sulfate, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Vitamin A Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid, Potassium Iodine, Sodium Selenite, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Addition. Old Recipe: Chicken (boneless, skinless, white breast), enough water to process, pumpkin, carrots, peas, potato starch, sunflower. Seed Oil, Dicalcium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Nicotinic Acid (Vitamin B3), Ferrous Sulfate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Sulfate Manganese, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really like this brand of cat food. It has a clean ingredient list for the most part, and I love that there is so much moisture in the food. Despite the fact that there is a lot of sauce, there are good cuts of meat in each jar. I ordered 2 flavors for my kitties - Grandma's Chicken Soup and Awesome Chunky Chicken Soup. They're basically the same, except Funky Chunky Chicken Soup, as the name suggests, is thicker. Grandma's Chicken Soup has a thin gravy, while Funky Chunky Sauce has a thicker gravy. I compared the ingredient list of both flavors and the only difference I can see is that the fancy hunk uses potato starch instead of tapioca starch. Foods that lead to waste. Now that I've switched to Weruva, I see him wolfing down his food every night, and he even tries to lick his sister's bowl even though she leaves him nothing. Both of my cats love this stuff! Must be tasty. I love that the brand offers a wide variety of flavors, although I personally don't feed fish flavors. Revain offers the best prices and I love that I can order multiple cases to be delivered right to my door. My only complaint is that I see no need to add additional veggies (carrots, squash, peas, etc.) to the flavors. It's not a big problem because they offer paw-licking chicken that lacks those extras. I recommend and will continue to buy!
