MIXED MASH. CATS DO NOT WALK. WERUVA RECENTLY CHANGED THE PRODUCT.

My cats have been eating and loving Weruva for 10 years now. The last cases of Mack & Jack and Polynesian BarBQ were not the same food. These are no longer pieces of fish, but mixed porridge. My cats hate it and leave it in their bowl all day. If they eat it, they vomit. Switched to Orijen dry food until I found decent canned food.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, it's just good

The cats liked him, neither case touched.

My cats loved this food. Bought several cases with no problems. I bought these 2 covers and none of my 4 cats will touch them. The sauce is darker but that's the only difference I saw. For me, there were no other smells, but my cats sniffed, tried to bury, and left. I've tried several jars from both cases and NONE of them have been touched. So I donated $80 worth of groceries to a local animal shelter.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Changed recipe, lower quality, same or higher price!

Yes I can say I am very disappointed that one of the best cat food brands has gone bust. Now he looks like shit. It used to be hard pieces of fish that I liked. Well, the "sauce" the label advertises is most likely just water. And as for my cats, it's not the delicious food they loved. I always kept it with me when my cats wanted to make the switch from a raw diet (Darwin's is great for them). Now I could just feed Trader Joe's cat food, that's 2 cans for about $1. It looks sticky like Veruva…

NEW Asian Fusion "With Gravy " - BIG FAILURE

My cat liked OLD Asian Fusion. And I was always happy to give her this meal. It was packed with different seafood and was substantial. The new version added so much "sauce" (which seems like a fancy way of saying "water") that 1) it doesn't go that far, 2) I don't see much real solid food, and 3 ) my cat vomits on it. Having proudly catered to this brand for almost 13 years and seeing so many new cat owners switch to Weruva branded cat food, I am looking for an alternative. I am so sorry for my

Personally I can vouch for the taste but the cat loves it.

With our 5th cat in over 30 years of marriage, we wanted to make him healthier and avoid the incontinence problems that are common in cats who only eat a high-carb diet. We asked the vet and the local Mud Bay store and Weruva was the best choice - high protein, high hydration, low carb - our 12 lb cat only needs 350-400 calories per day, each can is 57kcal/3 ounces, which means she can eat it 6/day - and that's just protein/meat and water. she also likes lamburgini, same story - that flavor…

The reformulation has ruined this product.

I have a cat that is very picky and another eats everything. I was initially so grateful when I realized that a certain brand/flavor configuration would be eaten by both. With this latest batch of new labels, the jar's contents transformed from a nice solid food-filled gel that could be sliced and simply served straight from the jar to a pile of diarrhea that's probably edible, but not that, what you want . Want to watch first thing in the morning? It seems like no matter how much you swipe…

Pros
  • High score for grip and durability from testers.
Cons
  • Compatibility

In my experience this product is 1000 times better for cats with sensitive stomachs, food allergies etc. We have two siamese kittens from a shelter from different shelters. Both have sensitivities, one more severe than the other. He would get bloody stools with mucus and thin patches on his fur if he ate anything other than the limited ingredient kitten food he ate at the shelter, so we brought him back to that. When kitten food was no longer the best option (he was getting fat and getting…

This is the best commercial cat food I have found so far

This food is my first choice for my cat with lymphoma (cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, currently on chemotherapy). No one knows what causes lymphoma, but it is widely believed that one of the main causes is eating foods to which a person is allergic, leading to inflammation that leads to IBD a few years later, which leads to lymphoma a few years later . . . It is also often suspected that vegetable proteins (corn, rice, wheat, other grains) and other common commercial pet food additives…

Turned my picky cat into a foodie! He loves Veruv!

EDIT 10/08/18: Updated my rating from 5 to 4 stars. Weruva changed the formula of their food. The first ingredient is now chicken broth instead of chicken; It appears to be an attempt to cut costs. I checked and most of their flavors now have broth as the first ingredient. The new formula has a more watery texture, fewer cuts of meat and more vegetables. Check out the picture of the food on the plate that accompanies the new formula of the fancy chunky chicken. Photos of food in a jar is an old
