In my experience this product is 1000 times better for cats with sensitive stomachs, food allergies etc. We have two siamese kittens from a shelter from different shelters. Both have sensitivities, one more severe than the other. He would get bloody stools with mucus and thin patches on his fur if he ate anything other than the limited ingredient kitten food he ate at the shelter, so we brought him back to that. When kitten food was no longer the best option (he was getting fat and getting older) we gave him grain free potato duck food from the same manufacturer - so far so good at 3 months. All high quality wet food. We tried, but before that there was an error. Another cat, an absolute glutton, LOVES wet food. Most high-end, limited-ingredient brands still contain carrageenan (sp?). I'm not a vet, but I've read some ugly articles about this (coagulant) supplement. Perhaps this is an issue that has bugged us with other limited ingredient brands. I can not say. Weruva was one of the very few who didn't have it. I can't stress enough the hours I've spent browsing and reviewing online pet food websites, all local stores, and reviews everywhere. Our first purchase were small jars of 3 ounces or so and they were mostly meaty with some broth, definitely meatier with sauce than thicker with meat. Either way, my two cats love it and eat it with no problem. It's literally the cleanest wet food I've found, with no hormone-free, free-range cooked chicken and no essential feline vitamins and the like. I am very thankful that I found this food. If it stays the way it was with my first batch, this will be the wet cat food I will be buying for the next ten years. My little glutton loves it so much that I have to leave the room to fill the dishes before putting them on the table. This is the only wet food I have been able to feed my cats with no problems, it is meaty and amazing. They were small banks. Now I'm trying the big ones.
