Review on πŸ”₯ 010405 Heat Shroud 1/2" - 1-1/4" I.D. x 3ft Aluminized Sleeving with Hook and Loop Closure - Optimal Heat Protection for Engineering Design by Vincent Poolaw

At first I thought I was going to cry too much, but .

At first I thought I was overpaying, but after 6 months of using and melting all kinds of cords/wires that weren't wrapped they became unaffordable. I have a modified Jeep Wrangler and the new engine/transmission combination generates some heat. Combine that with raising everything in the back as much as possible to get ground clearance and you have a 600 degree oven. I wrapped the airbox wire, fuel line, emissions lines and clutch accessory wire all in a 1" grommet. My transfer case shift cable with factory heat shield has failed twice and melted the cable. After putting on the 1/2" DEI jack I haven't had any problems since!

Pros
  • Insulation
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
