My son's mittens looked just like most other kids in his preschool. The kids picked the wrong pairs and the teacher had to sort them by name at the end of the day. I ironed them on top of my wrist to Costco Head Mittens size xs. Fits well and lasted 2 washes. Sewn over anything that has been patched after washing. My sons get their mittens dirty at school outside playing in the woods (washed 1-2 times a week). There is also plenty of movement and the material is stretchy, after sewing the patch on they were perfect. If you would stick patches on a jacket or hat and iron them, that would be good. My son is obsessed with garbage trucks and always carries his special garbage truck mittens with him.
