Good filter but needs constant replacement

This is a good filter and my water is delicious and clean after it's filtered. However, mine only last a month or two, so I change them often. I don't know if the water in Baltimore is bad and rich in minerals or if I drink more water than average. Constant filter changes are too expensive for me, I can switch to a cheaper Britta.
