It works a little. My daughter who wears large ladies took the size XL which I bought as I usually wear the XL size. I've sent back the ones I got for them and I'm praying the XXL works for me. It is not sweatshirt material and does not stretch like a t-shirt. It's cheaply made but for the price I have to say I can't expect it to be much better. We got them for a family photo of all the girls and will probably use them as sleep shirts then. The heart application is carelessly executed, which I would expect for the price. The head holes are very small and you have to pull hard to tighten them. After all, you get what you pay for from China. However, they arrived quickly, which was a big surprise for me. I love the design and would happily pay double the price for double the quality.
