Hope these are the unicorn shells I was looking for. That's how far they are. They are beefy and deep enough to microwave oatmeal (6 inch bowls). The rims are thicker than most so we're keeping our fingers crossed they don't crack like all of our other bowls. I'm surprised at how excited I am. Family with these bowls I can't remember anyone here ever commenting on other essentials I've bought - maybe it's the quarantine that makes us all appreciate life's little pleasures. If so, then at least that's a good thing. Either way, these are the perfect bowls for us. They are suitable for salad, muesli, oatmeal, soup or pasta. They can be used in the microwave. The design allows you to comfortably hold a full bowl. The fact that the company offers a ONE YEAR warranty is fantastic. Look for a card with their web address to sign up. The price is great compared to the WS bowls I was planning to buy. Time will tell, but so far we're all happy with them.
