I was skeptical about the battery only camera and the claims of 30+ day battery life, but I was pleasantly surprised. If I use it for 30 days, the battery is still at 76%, I suspect that with more movement, more battery is used, I had little movement. Detection and notification are almost instantaneous, but you can only view notifications if you have a micro SD card (not included). Night vision reflected off the walls illuminates the entire room evenly. You can hear the audio live and recorded, which I have little experience with, but I can hear TV so it's quite sensitive. I haven't used the Talk Through feature, but you can. I'll keep it in a place I want to grip but don't want to run cables.
