First of all I did NOT get them for free or with a discount. I paid FULL price and this is just my honest experience with this product; I hope this helps you! :) I bought these booties at the same time as the (much) more expensive Zutano brand and I like them MUCH better than Zutanos. First, I like that they have little non-slip dots on the bottom. Being fleece you might think that adding those little grips on the bottom would be standard, but there aren't any grippy/non-slip materials on the Zutanos at all. This is an important feature as my daughter is just learning to stand free and falls enough on her own Thank you very much. Secondly, I thought Zutanos would be better because of the closures. Since they have velcro I doubted they would stay. However, not only does the Velcro hold up very well (trust me, my daughter tries to take them off as soon as I put them on and fails every time), but it's even better because you can adjust them almost endlessly. Area with the 1.5" velcro strips they provide. The 2 buttons on the zutanos make them "adjustable" but with only 2 final sizes while they can be loosened or tightened as much as you like My daughter is skinny (only 25th percentile for weight) and I can tighten her nice and comfortably around her ankles while Zutanos can take her off right away because the tightest I can do, is still too loose for her. Also, my daughter isn't a shoe fan (really one of us?) but she seems to love it. As I said she tries to take them off as soon as I put them on but after a few tugs she realizes she can't take them off and then she crawls, gets up and plays without a second look at you. Plus she looks incredibly cute in it! I have provided some photos with the ruler in the background; My daughter is 13 months old with long skinny legs and I bought size 12-18 months. They fit well with plenty of room to grow so I think the size is right. Her lower part measures exactly 4.5 inches. and then she crawls and stands and plays without even looking at her.
