It also takes a little getting used to. For the first few days my legs literally shrank to the point of pain. But I think that made my old dogs feel better again. Now I put my tired puppies in it every day after work and after about 2 minutes I fall asleep blissfully. When I wake up, the machine is off and I feel refreshed. I think the only thing that bothers me is that there is an intermittent popping sound like something is getting stuck a little but it comes and goes so I'm not sure I have a machine that later has a problem caused or not. That being said all I can say to people who complain about initial pain is just get through it and you'll be glad you did, no pain no benefit.
