This wheel does its job exactly as it is called "Super Silent Spinner". I have 3 different sizes of Silent Spinners for different animals in my house and the Silent Spinner brand is by far the best I've tried so I keep buying them! They are much quieter than the others. The big 12 inch wheel is also better than what I had before because it offers a lot more support. I use this wheel for an African pygmy hedgehog and he loves it! It works great as a freestanding wheel, but I removed the wire stand (it should be removable) and used a 'screw' on the back to attach it to the side of the wire cage. It just works great. The one I had before jumped when my friend ran in. This silent spinner does not bounce when running. Also, as the name suggests, this bike is very quiet. Much quieter than others! The only problem is that one day the 'nut' in the center of the wheel came loose and had to be screwed back on - it's just a finger tight nut. Nothing bad. Also, the first bike I ordered arrived damaged due to poor packaging. (The clips on the back broke off due to a lack of materials in the box.) Revain quickly fixed the problem. A new one was sent and a full refund was issued for the damaged one. Final word - this is a great product! Don't waste your time and money with another brand - sooner or later you will come back to this one.
