Don't buy an Apple. Apollo Twin works on PC.

I purchased this (StarTech.com Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter) in 2017 to connect my Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo 2 to an Acer Predator Windows 10 17" laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 port. Worked flawlessly. Now I need to connect my old Firewire audio interface to my new MacBook Pro which only has ONE Thunderbolt 3 port. The FireWire to Thunderbolt 3 adapter doesn't exist and never will (since nobody has made one yet Apple of course requires you to spend $29 for a Firewire to Thunderbolt TWO-STYLE adapter (this connector is a DIFFERENT style than the Thunderbolt 3 cable) wanted to pay another $49. 00 Until I remembered I had this adapter. So I had to buy a $29 FireWire adapter. I then connected it to my new 2020 Apple computer and everything worked. All of the Apple cables I had quickly fell apart at both ends.
