Files were not initially transferred and after the transfer I could not find them. After removing and reconnecting, I found that the flash drive's "full" capacity was available, meaning everything I had stored on it was lost. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that about 200 MB of data was inaccessible, although nothing could be seen on the disk. I erased a drive on my Mac and found the default low space is around 70MB meaning there was around 130MB on it, possibly a hidden virus.
