Bought this for two kittens I'm raising for a local animal shelter. I was a little worried they might be too heavy for him but they both sleep in it, total weight is about 6lbs which is fine. I hung it on the sides of the cage (Midwest playpen) so they could get up there easily. I have it a little higher than a shelf, at an angle, so they jump up and climb in. I was worried the hooks didn't look very strong so I just added some metal O-rings on the end. and tied them both to a cage. On one side I used a pair of o-rings linked together in daisy chain to even out the gap. I hand washed them before first use and they dried perfectly. If it holds up I will buy another one to use while I wash the other one.
