So far I have had very good experiences with this kettle. It really took my coffee pouring experience to the next level. It's well built, looks fantastic and the base of the unit is big enough to fit perfectly over my large burners on the front of my stove, allowing me to get the water to the right temperature much faster. The thermometer built into the lid feels nice and works very well. I'm so glad I ignored some of the negative reviews. Every product has a certain percentage of defects, but this company seems to do a good job of solving problems with their business. And sometimes people just don't know how to use products, or don't follow directions, or treat them too roughly and then complain about it. It requires a break-in period to run it twice with boiling water before first use, I did it and had no problems. I also, after patting the inside dry with a paper towel, put a small folded paper towel inside to catch any remaining moisture that might linger to prolong the life of the product. Thank you Weneg!
