I still give 5 stars because I don't think it's the manufacturer's fault. The sound of wings whipping through the air is very unpleasant. It's like a high-pitched screech. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but this terrible noise disturbs my rest and may disturb the neighbors. It's like living next to a factory. And that it's coming from six meters above is even more alarming, like having a helicopter land on your head. If you live off the grid with no neighbors and can put this 20-30 meters from your house, that might be fine. Otherwise this is a problem. With all the pain and regret and after all the hard work I put into building this 20 foot tower, I had to take it down and hide it. But I don't regret this experience, I learned one more thing in life. But I don't throw it away and I don't give it away, maybe I'll use it one day, maybe somewhere else, who knows. TWO DAYS LATER - PROBLEM SOLVED No more awful wind turbine noise. I installed it again, but this time with a charge controller. It turns out that the connected charge controller slows the turbine down a bit, regulates the speed and as a result does not spin out of control and does not make a terrible noise. Now it just produces a sort of whistling sound, still a little annoying but tolerable. So we're back in business. Remember that when connecting a charge controller, you connect the battery FIRST and THEN the turbine in that order. Everyone emphasizes it, me too.
