The jars were dirty, the lids were sealed
Jelly jars bought. I don't recommend because they came dirty. The caps were very tight which resulted in a dent in the sealing surface of the caps. Not sure if they reseal when canned. I currently run glasses in the dishwasher after soaking them in bleach water. I have serious concerns about the powdery residue in the vials.
