Protects key fob well
Definitely protects key fob well. However, I would say that there should be a small cutout for a small light that flashes when you press a button to let you know the remote still has battery/signal to send. I actually cut out a hole so I could see the light. Also, I didn't put the case on and then hung it on the keychain. I put it on after putting on the keychain because when you need to take out the key, you need to take the keychain off the ring.
