The key was easily programmed to work the locks. I had to take it to Lexus for programming and cutting as I could not find a locksmith willing to do it. Lexus was hesitant saying that their machine had been ruined by other keys purchased online due to inferior metal, however, much to my surprise, they did cut it for me and it works fine. I guess it didn't ruin their machine!

One came with a very low battery and only worked once in the other 1 the battery is wearing out after approximately 4 months of normal use. I have ordered new batteries and it should solve my problem

Took the two key fobs to the locksmith and he cut the new keys and programmed them for an additional $209. 00. Much less expensive then the dealer.

Key tolerances were good, key works as a valet key, but the frequency doesn't link up. 2 pro locksmiths and no luck. Thanks for attention.

false advertisement. when i recived this product. there was a note saying to take it to the dealer or locksmith to program.

I bought this for my wife's Lexus RX 350 and it's working great. All the buttons work and the quality is good. I bought this key and found someone on Facebook to come to the house and program it, cut it. I think I paid 50-60 for the cutting and programming here in Dallas, TX. Perfect! Sure beats going to the "stealership!"

Worked great, took them to a lock smith to program it to our lexus suv and it worked!Saved a lot of money by not buying one from the locksmith.

I bought these keys with the intention of reducing costs, however, I ended up spending more than expected.I took it to the locksmith ONLY for cutting, thinking that following the instructions provided in the box to the letter will eventually programmed it (IT DID NOT WORK AT ALL!).I had to go back to the locksmith for programming which was expensive and the support (if it exist) is not responsive.

well had them both cut and programed and it was NOT cheap. so I had to return one key since it stopped working remotely. called key person and said was bad key insides. I want to know if the company is going to pay the $50 bucks it will cost me to have it cut and programed again? IF NOT then just refund me the one key price!

Key and key fob we’re good quality. The programming of the key as well as the fob did not work for me had to find alternate set ups on YouTube .

Worked fine for my 2005 Lexus RX330. My original shell broke and the alarm guys fell out. Purchased this key and used the back case and the keyfob guts in my original key. Found a YouTube video to reprogram the buttons to my car in about 5 minutes.

Purchased for a 2008 RX400h - local locksmith was able to cut and program the keys with no troubles. They work perfectly and gives me peace of mind that I now have a spare key for the Lexus!

Should made it clear that there are two programming: 1. The lock unlock remote, which is provided. 2. The built in chip (transponder?) which you have to pay a locksmith or buy software+connection wire if you want to DIY.

The ONLY instruction that came with the key said you need to have a dealer register the key. This is true unless you have Techstream software and appropriate OBD connection to your computer. Use it to register the transponder AND wireless parts of the key.

Called a Locksmith to cut key and program for. Make sure you have a master key for your car when programming. Thanks for attention.

Quick and easy, and SOOO much cheaper than going to a dealer. Took the fob to a locksmith who had the equipment to cut the new key, using an existing key. He also did the programming for a few dollars more

While I was disappointed that these replacement keys didn't operate the trunk on my Lexus SC-430, it was a cheap and easy solution to get spare keys after I lost one of my OEM ones. Given the ridiculous price of a dealer or the still somewhat egregious price for spare keys from a locksmith, opening the door and then pushing the trunk release doesn't seem like such a big deal. While I wish this had done my trunk, I'm content with the experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Worked great after having them cut by a professional lock smith. Problem solved.Later looked again on Walmart and realized I could buy just the cases for the factory fob and replace them for much cheaper than a whole new key and save the locksmith fee. Now I have 4 working keys for the car.
