I use this mat on my car dashboard to hold my phone. Luckily, the handles on the stand are long enough to keep the phone from falling out. However, they can be 1/4 inch longer to provide a firmer grip on a larger phone. The carpet does not slide off my curved dashboard. The phone holder itself is taped to the mat and doesn't rotate. It would be nice to be able to rotate to improve nighttime visibility and reduce windshield reflections. However, if you tilt it towards the rider when you first put it on, it works great all day long. This product solved the phone problem for me as I didn't want to damage my air vent, use a magnet or stick something sticky. Dash yourself. Good product! Will probably get them as a Christmas present for my family after my 6 month evaluation.
