I bought these binoculars for my daughter and she loves them. It is a nice bright shade of blue. Although it was a little difficult to adjust the magnification initially, once she got the hang of it, she was very excited about using the binocs. It is compact, making it easy for her to pack them in her backpack, when we took her hiking. We live in this little mountain city in East Tennessee and this gives her plenty of opportunities to use her binoculars to explore the outdoors. She has been using it for star gazing as well. It is good for kids/ beginners. It is worth your money as it provides good resolution and magnification for distant objects.
