Unclear: In-ear headphones

At first I thought these were great. For about three weeks they worked exactly as they should, but now they don't stay connected to my laptop and are very static. I'm trying to find a good set of headphones for home use to connect to Zoom meetings. Unfortunately the returns window is closed so I can't return them.
