Review on SmartBidet SB-2000: The Ultimate Round Toilet Electric Bidet Seat – Heated, Hygienic & Customizable with Warm Air Dryer and Wash Functions by Terrance Palau

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The bag is a mixed bag but overall worth it

Ever since I visited Japan in 2013 I've been dreaming of an electronic toilet seat. I considered the Toto sink with similar characteristics but I didn't see any significant difference between them except in price. So I wavered between 3 and 4 stars for my Smart Bidet and settled on 4 because there are few pleasures like sitting on a warm toilet seat. Every time I sit I sigh with happiness. However, sitting for too long is not very comfortable. Something about the recline of the seat, however slight, makes my sit bones uncomfortable. It also sits very high on my toilet seat. It doesn't fit well in my toilet and the logo is pretty obtrusive. Together with my squatty potty, my SmartBidet looks like a kind of special operations commando chair. Not exactly a sexy look for a family with one bathroom. But all the jokes and side glances stop as soon as my guests sit down, so I'm not worried. The For Him-Back Spray is quite intense. If you point it at the right angle and set up a powerful spray, it's almost like an enema. The "For Her" settings are pretty much "Everyone": I assure you, no one will know what key you're pressing. The dryer is good but useless unless you stay for a while. But the warm water, heated seat, and unexpectedly smooth opening/closing of the lid are worth it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
