Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable mic priced at

Between working from home and online social interactions during COVID, I'm tired of having to wear headsets, the sound quality and frequent echo effect from using the built-in mic on my laptops is terrible . I almost spent a lot of money on the Blue Yeti (and based on my research and friends' recommendations, if you have the extra money it's still worth it), but I settled on something cheaper. The full list of pros and cons is below, but TL; DR - the pros far outweigh the cons for me and I give it all five stars. Pros: Sound quality is excellent and I haven't had any issues with Echo. I don't even put it in front of me, it's on my left and I don't even look at it. The device has a gain control and a mute button. It uses USB-C, so it's compatible with many of the cables I have. around.------------------------------------------------ -------------- Cons The manual is pretty sparse, so if you're an amateur like me you might need to do some research to find the best position and angle for your use. No headphone jack to hear your own voice when you say I understand a lot of professional guys e.g. Of course you can listen to your computer's output, but I noticed a very slight delay. The price is so good that I feel something must suffer. Might be poor build quality or something, but I didn't drop it on the floor to find out.---------------------------- -------------Maybe Pro/Maybe ConIt captures EVERYTHING in the room. Or in an open floor plan like mine, it picks up every tone on the first floor. This could have been mitigated by moving it farther in front of me and lowering the gain, but when I did I picked up fan noise from my laptop. It can also be very useful for those looking for something to put on the table in the middle of the band and get a good sound from everyone.
