These lamps capture the look of the turn of the century with ultra-modern efficiency. I have some real turn of the century incandescent bulbs. Working after 100 years. They work because they're built to last, but they're very inefficient. More modern bulbs are much more efficient than vintage bulbs but nothing compared to these bulbs which are 90% more efficient than LEDs. I have refused to buy CFL lightbulbs because they look awful, aren't actually all that efficient, and are hazardous waste that needs to be disposed of. These lamps look just as good as 100 year old lamps and are probably 200% more efficient. They give a nice warm "antique" shine. They are quite large so I can't use them in many of my lights with small antique glass shades. They stick out too far. They can be used and look great where there is no glass shade or in large open fixtures like Tiffany's. Longevity? Many years are written on the packaging. I can't rate it (and no one else can) as these lamps haven't been around long enough to really know!
