Review on Blue Snowball Condenser Microphone Cardioid by Scott Clayton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

snowball! Now with snow sound effects!

(My video is a review but it speaks into this mic so you can hear the quality) I've never had a mic that picked up my voice properly. If I speak softly the sound disappears, if I speak high it cuts out. In contrast, this mic picks up everything I say without picking up that weird background hiss! I don't look like a true super specialist who knows what I'm talking about when it comes to mic quality, but I consider this one of the best tools I've tinkered with while tinkering. That is hard! The core of the ball is like lifting a puppy. The included stand requires a tightened screw on the bottom to keep the legs largely stable. I decided to completely ignore all of the other reviews explaining the safety and reliability of the desk mount and I just tape this damn thing somewhere. On the table, on my keyboard, stuffed between a bunch of pillows. Look, I'm not that professional when people aren't looking, and my desk is literally my bed. It doesn't fall off and picks up my sounds wherever I put it. (Oh no, I've broken it down by gender. Then you have to give it a name, and then you realize you love things too much.) I was singing karaoke like crazy, and my poor friend who lives far away, he did it a hearing problem finally hears my voice. real voice, clear and correct. I bought a pop filter, it hasn't arrived yet, but I'll probably need it, but so far pop pop pop is not unreasonable. The red light on the front is awfully bright, I just put some tape on it. Easy. You need a quiet space to use this, but not too much. For example, my heater doesn't register and neither does my computer. I'll be crunching some fresh snow outside so you can hear how crunchy it is, although with a metric you can probably really copy. [Eventually snow gets all over the keyboard and mouse so I move it and drop it here.] I like it, it's worth the money (I paid about $30 to repackage and use, but costs about an additional $50 Dollars.) and I can already tell that this little cutie (and she's cute, my aging mom saw her, started giggling and wanted to hold her) will be a big part of my singing life. Edit: I don't understand why the review is an hour long. This is only a 2 minute clip on my computer. I must have rolled a 1 when booting.

Pros
  • Nice looking
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
