I decided to buy this after working from home for almost a year and craning my neck to look at my laptop's webcam. This has made Zoom meetings so much more convenient - no more neck pain! Here are a few comments on my experiences with it: I only use it and my laptop for video conferencing when I need to be somewhere quiet (I have my desktop as my main computer) and standing on the laptop typing on the stand. good for short-term use, but it's not the most stable experience. For all-day comfort, I would recommend using a separate mouse and keyboard. I am using this with a very thin Thinkpad X1 Carbon and the shorter protrusions, that hold the laptop in place aligns perfectly with the one where your wrists sit when typing so they don't protrude or press against you while typing. It's lightweight and made of plastic, but looks quite well built. I've opened and folded it dozens of times now and it shows no signs of wear. It should last quite a long time as long as you don't subject it to regular abuse. If you plan to travel with it and throw it in your bag randomly on a regular basis, it may break after a while. high enough that the camera was about level with my face. and it shows no signs of use.
