I first bought the COOLMG but they kept catching my eye as they didn't have gel/silicone on the top band. It was very annoying playing basketball. I bought these pads hoping they would last due to the gel/silicone and they work! I only had to adjust them once in a 2 hour basketball session or they got stuck in place. I also think the pads feel more natural when playing as they are separate pad/foam pieces that seem to move more naturally with your knees. I hit her twice with my knees while playing basketball and I had no pain! I really think these knee pads are fantastic for the price and work well. I'm 5'11 and 210lbs with relatively large hips and the XL size is great for me. Just bought two more pairs considering they are around $13 compared to others that are $20-$40.
